Welcome to the Show Up and Grow Poetry Workshop!
We are so glad you are here. Whether you have been writing for years or this is the very first time you have put pen to paper, this space was created for you. Over the next 9 sessions, we will explore the art of poetry together — laughing, learning, creating, and growing as a community.
What to Expect
Each session is designed to be engaging, accessible, and fun. You will:
Explore a wide variety of poetic forms and styles — from limericks and haiku to lyrics and epic narratives
Create original work in your Participant Journal, which includes worksheets and guided prompts to support you every step of the way
Connect with fellow participants through sharing, peer feedback, and collaborative projects
Discover the cultural roots and modern relevance of poetry across time and traditions
Grow your confidence as a writer, performer, and creative thinker
Your Participant Journal
Included with your registration is your very own Participant Journal. This is your creative home base for the entire program. Inside you will find:
Worksheets for each session
Writing prompts and guided exercises
Space for personal reflection and free writing
Reference guides for each poetic form we cover
Your journal belongs to you. There are no wrong answers — only your voice, your ideas, and your story.
